Martiros Manoukian
Martiros was born in Yerevan, Armenia USSR on August 5th 1947. He says that he always knew that he was born to be an artist and that it was a gift from God. His energetic character, love of nature and dislike of collective activities made him a demanding child and he started painting seriously at 11. He entered the Academy of Art in Yerevan in 1967. He had many exhibitions from 1974-86 and in 1987 achieved his goal of emigrating to America. His work is widely collected throughout the world.
